May 12, 2015: Providers and practices now have the opportunity to provide prescription education and give information around particular medications to these patients at point-of-care. By better educating patients about their medications at the time when they can still ask the physician questions, and by reducing the number of unanswered questions after a patient leaves with the information in hand, these programs increase the likelihood that patients will fill the prescription and comply with dosage instructions.
