Feb 15, 2012: Today, federal lawmakers have reached a tentative agreement to institute a payroll holiday, that would extend current reimbursement rates to physicians for Medicare services until the end of 2012. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) had previously announced a 27.4% cut, based upon their sustainable growth rate formula, that would have taken effect January 1, 2012, but was later pushed back to March 1, 2012.
